Toyota has announced the pricing for the eco-advanced 2013 Prius, Prius v and Prius Plug-in models. All pricing for these three 2013 Prius Family members becomes effective October 2012.

Toyota introduced its all-new Avalon Hybrid and its hybrid vehicle lineup into millions of living rooms across America on Sunday, Oct. 7, with a “Discover Toyota” showcase that aired on multichannel retailer HSN.

Last week, Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A., Inc., reported June sales results of 177,795 units, showing an increase of 54.3 percent compared to the same period last year on a daily selling rate basis. The Toyota Yaris and Toyota Corolla were awarded the top spot in their respective categories in the J.D. Power and Associates 2012 Initial Quality Study. Many other Toyota models were recognized as top three in their segment, while five Lexus and Toyota manufacturing plants won awards in the study.

The vehicles were evaluated on attributes important to families including safety, fuel economy, ride comfort, styling and handling and kid-friendly features. The Toyota models selected were the Prius v in the high-mileage category, the Camry in the sedan category and the Sienna in the large vehicle category, according to Toyota.

Through April 2012 Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan announced hybrid vehicle sales totaled four million units worldwide. Toyota introduced the Prius in Japan in 1997 and now sells 18 hybrid passenger vehicles in 80 countries, according to Toyota.
