New marketing for all-new Camry

“It’s Ready. Are You?” is the new slogan for the all-new 2012 Toyota Camry. According to Toyota, the campaign demonstrated how the seventh-generation model addresses consumers’ needs, expectations and driving habits. Look for Daytona Toyota’s Camry event!

“When building the best-selling car in America-a car with nearly seven million vehicles on the road today-you learn about what people want and expect from their cars,” said Bill Fay, group vice president of marketing for Toyota in a prepared statement. “We recognized the need to give Americans a smart, safe and worry-free vehicle they can rely on, and our marketing campaign communicates this message.”

4Runner upgraded with audio and tech features

This year’s Toyota 4Runner comes with audio and connectivity upgrades for the fifth generation. In 2011 the 4Runner was named “Most Dependable Midsize Crossover/SUV” by J.D. Power & Associates.

Newly available automatic running boards will come with the 4Runner SR5 and Limited grades. The 4Runner SR5 and Trail models come standard with SiriusXM Satellite Radio capability (90-day trial subscription included) USB port and hands-free phone capability and music streaming with Bluetooth connectivity.

An option on all other 4Runner models but standard on the Limited grade is the new display-type audio system. The features with the system include navigation, Toyota Entune, XM Satellite Radio, HD Radio and text/email-to-speech. Toyota Entune will come with three years complimentary access.

2012 Toyota Tundra tough and tricked out

The Toyota Tundra returns after being named “Best Overall Value” in the full-size pickup segment by IntelliChoice last year, with simplified option packages and detailed enhancements for 2012.

Three engine choices will be offered; a 270-horsepower 4.0-liter V6, a 310-horsepower 4.6-liter V8 and the 381-horsepower 5.7-liter V8. Standard features on the Tundra include a heavy-duty battery and starter, windshield wiper de-icer, daytime running lights, front and rear mudguards and heated, power, outside mirrors.

The Tundra Double Cab and Crew Max models offer a Chrome Package featuring a chromed exhaust top, side mirrors, door handles and chrome-clad 18-inch steel wheels.

Two grades will be offered, Tundra and Limited; three cab styles, Regular, Double Cab and Crew Max; three wheelbase lengths and three bed lengths.

2012 Tacoma Baja Series rugged and ready

At the Texas State Fair, Toyota introduced a Tacoma T|X (Tacoma Extreme) limited edition pickup. The special package is designed by Toyota Racing Development and inspired by legendary Baja 500 and 1000 races.

The Tacoma T|X Baja Series models will be built at the San Antonio plant and scheduled for launch in late spring 2012.
